Some of our recent work

Lensational has a unique network of international female photographers who are supported through training and continuous mentoring from experienced professional photographers. This portfolio shows just a sample of the range of quality imagery they have produced.

The work is from a diverse range of contexts, from some of the most remote corners of the world to some of the biggest global cities. Images come from contributors based in India, Uganda, Ethiopia, The Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Bhutan, Ghana, Nigeria and Kenya.

They show how our network can gain access where outsiders may struggle to do so. They can reach isolated regions of their countries, and can get the inside information on events, festivals, protests and gatherings, to tell the story from a local perspective.

Through training and mentorship schemes, Lensational is helping to empower female photographers, giving them economic opportunities and an international stage to tell not only their stories but also the stories of their communities. This in turn gives the audience a unique insight into our photographers’ worlds, one which is authentic and seeks to break cultural and gender stereotypes.
This portfolio of work contains images which focus on the themes of empowerment, access to education, cultural diversity and the environment.

As you can see in these images, Lensational’s work focuses on the themes of empowerment, access to education, cultural diversity and the environment.
