We are pleased to host an exhibition with Ima Studio as part of a group of amazing artists. The exhibition will feature work from international young artists exploring photography and painting.
The exhibition is open from 5th May (Tuesday) to 9th May (Saturday), from 10am to 6pm. Also join us for the Private View is on 5th May (Tuesday) from 6pm to 9pm – our Lensational London team will be present alongside international young artists, to share our views on art.
The 5 selected photographs showcased in this exhibition document the lives of a group of foreign domestic helpers in Hong Kong. Through these pictures, the young women share their dreams and experiences, painting their lives and souls with courage. Behind the photos, they live complicated lives – earning roughly 300 pounds per month with 6 working days per week; not eligible for permanent residency. In this context, photography is an enabler of agency, allowing these women to create their own narratives.
