These are exciting times for Lensational, as we seek to expand our global operations by setting up a charity in the UK. As such, we are looking to recruit three founding Trustees for Lensational.
Trustees are responsible for the governance and strategic management as well as acting as ambassadors for the organisation.
The Trustees acting individually and collectively have an overall stewardship responsibility for the well- being of Lensational, providing strategic direction, ensuring that it works effectively towards its vision and mission, harnessing its resources to maximum effect and upholding its core ethos and values and fulfilling a duty of care, in accordance with its governing documents, relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidates will possess strong track record in the commercial sector, or in arts and photography sectors, with the ability to develop vision, working with others in strategic decision-making.
As well as this professional experience, prospective candidates will need to:
Have time to dedicate to this demanding role;
Have empathy with the charitable objectives of the organisation;
Have the ability, commitment and drive to take the organisation forward.
The Board meets at least six times a year in central London. Trustees may also be invited to take lead a particular project. Appointments will be for an initial 1-year term. From 4-7 October 2015 in Philadelphia, our Co-founder Bonnie attended the Forbes Under 30 Summit which convened more than 2,000 of the planet’s top young entrepreneurs and game-changers as well as world-class mentors.
Lensational was one of the global 50 semi-finalists at Forbes Under 30 Change the World Competition, the largest ever $1 million global social impact competition for entrepreneurs under the age of 30 to advance solutions that address global challenges. We were therefore invited to this conference, an incredibly humbling experience.

On 1/2 October 2015, the Concordia Summit convened the world’s preeminent thought leaders and decision makers to discuss Public-Private Partnerships. Speakers included US Vice President Joe Biden, CEO of Coca Cola Muhtar Kent and Former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. Thanks to the Resolution Project, our Co-Founder Bonnie was invited to attend the esteemed conference.
Concordia as an organisation is a true inspiration to young entrepreneurs like ourselves. Founded by Nick Logothetis and Matthew Swift when they were 23, it now convenes the world’s preeminent thought leaders, and championing the empowerment and inclusion of youth in these important dialogues.
The Resolution Project led a strategy session titled, “Pathway to Action: Supporting Youth-Led Social Enterprises”. The panel featured established young social entrepreneurs, as well as charity leaders from UNICEF and The Rockefeller Foundation.
